Pegasus Lodge Demonstration Team - Beyond the Craft
Members of the Pegasus Demo Team ventured out again on Monday 7th February to visit Marlborough Lodge in Woodstock with the objective of educating other Freemasons with our demonstration of ‘Beyond the Craft’. The presentation led by WBro Bob Chevin was very well received and Pegasus received a donation of £120 from the members and guests in the Lodge. This brings our running total so far to £883. Many thanks to Bob and the Demo Team for the work to raise funds towards our charities.
Two outings last week for the Demonstration Team realised the sum of £763 towards the Masters’ List. On Friday 3 December we attended Banbury Masonic Centre to present ‘Beyond the Craft’ to the Oxfordshire Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge, which was our first outing for over 2 years.
There were 7 members in the team, one of whom was the Provincial Grand Secretary, who kindly agreed to join us. In conjunction with this, we were delighted that our latest Entered Apprentice, Bro Adam Taylor, was able to add his presence to the cast so enhancing his knowledge of what he can expect as he progresses. The demonstration was a huge success and was well received by the ‘Red Apron’ Lodge and in showing their appreciation, donated £523 – one of the largest donations we have received to date.

Six days later, on Thursday 9 December, the team gave a demonstration to Claydon Lodge in Winslow. On this occasion, we were overwhelmed with 12 members to the cast, including both of our Entered Apprentices (Bros Adam Taylor and Andrew Smith). As at the previous outing we were delighted to include the Provincial Grand Secretary (W Bro Ian Bailey) and in addition, W Bro Hugh Gwilliams (Fairway Lodge).
We were presented with a donation of £240 at the festive board, which was held in the Bell Hotel, which provides one of the most substantial meals in the Province. I have never known anybody go back for seconds!

A special thank you to W Bro Geoff Bakewell who, not only stage manages the event, but has the unenviable task of keeping me in check during the presentations. To everybody else, my thanks to you for playing a part in one or both of the demonstrations and, as ever, I hope you enjoyed the opportunity of gaining an insight of the pathway all Freemasons can choose to take, whilst providing an educative narrative for all to receive their ‘daily advancement in Masonic knowledge’.
