About Pegasus Lodge
Pegasus Lodge no.5637 was Consecrated on the 21st September 1936, at The Masonic Hall, Aylesbury, by the Right Worshipful Brother The Right Reverend Lord Bishop of Buckingham, and sponsored by Buckingham Lodge no.591.
We are a vibrant, medium sized lodge with many members from all walks of life. Our youngest is 19 years old and our oldest is 92! with almost every other decade represented. We hold lodge meetings 5 times a year (see the Program page), as well as other functions, both formal and informal. Many of our members are keen masons who visit other lodges on a regular basis, and we are always happy to host visitors from far and wide.

The lodge was originally formed by masons with a connection to the Royal Air Force, from nearby RAF Halton, near Wendover. We still have former RAF personnel as members today, and are proud of our military roots, although we have no serving members at present.
It is recorded that although the Grand Master wished to consecrate the lodge in London, the ceremony was held in Aylesbury, due to the fact that all but three of the founding members were serving at Halton Camp, and so would be unable to get to London in time. Much advice and encouragement was forthcoming from our now sister lodges Daedalus, Mercury, and Hermes, and many of their members attended the consecration.

One of our most notable Past Masters was Jerry Fray DFC, who was also a member of Daedalus Lodge, one of our sister lodges. Jerry played a key roll in the famous Dambuster's raid in World War 2, and you can find out more about him here: http://freemasonrytoday.com/features/dambusters-captured-the-incredible-story-jerry-fray
During the War period of 1939 to 45 practically every member of the lodge was on active service with the Armed forces or local government. Below is a summary compiled in 1947.
